Parbold Douglas Music Lancashire is proud to present its fifth Young Musicians’ Showcase following the inaugural event in 2014.
Young Performers of different backgrounds, usually from 13 to 21 years, from across the Lancashire and North West region and playing a variety of instruments, are encouraged to apply. The performers have the freedom to choose their own programmes and will be selected by independent advisors. Pianists will have the opportunity to play the society’s 2000 Steinway Concert Grand.
Parbold Douglas Music Lancashire has a commitment to developing young musical talent and is confident the audience will enjoy a memorable evening.

The second half of the concert is devoted to a North West Musicians’ Showcase.
David Daniels will perform works by Chopin and others from the nineteenth century romantic repertoire. Audiences may think they know David, but it is unlikely they will appreciate that he leads a dual professional life: one as a concert pianist playing solo recitals and concertos with the North West’s semi-professional orchestras and the other as a technician preparing concert pianos for other professional musicians. The piano and its repertoire is a life-long study for David that has taken him from home in Rochdale to Chetham’s School of Music, Newark Technology
