Ambassadors Sextet from the National Youth Jazz Orchestra

The National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) is a charity, whose mission is to promote jazz as an exciting, engaging and inspirational art form through world-class performances and education work.

The NYJO Ambassadors Sextet is a bijou showcase for some of the best up-and-coming young musicians in the industry, stepping out of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra’s 24-piece ensemble setting to bring you the brilliance of the big band on an intimate scale. Founded in 1965, NYJO has helped launch the careers of many of the country’s most renowned jazz musicians including Guy Barker, Amy Winehouse, Mark Nightingale and Laura Jurd.

The sextet includes exceptional young jazz musicians aged 25 and under. The NYJO Ambassadors offers a high-quality and fun introduction to jazz.

The Ambassadors will play music from The Great American Songbook including, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart and Hoagy Carmichael
