Protégé of Itzhak Perlman, American violinist Nathan Meltzer is increasingly hailed as a rising star, praised for his combination of exceptional technique and mature musicianship. He presents a programme of classics from the violin repertoire, including Brahms’ lyrical Sonata No.2 and the dazzling Polonaise Brillante by Wieniawski. Nathan performs on a rare Stradivarius violin, only recently discovered after being stolen over 40 years ago.
“19-year-old Nathan Meltzer played … with enchanting sounds, true ‘witchcraft’ of breathtaking virtuosity, with sonorous double stops in unimaginable perfection.”
